2009 Annual National Conference, October 22-23, 2009!

Where and when
This year's conference is scheduled for Thursday October 22 - 23, 2009 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec - 10 minutes from the Parliament buildings in Ottawa.

The conference will highlight areas of immediate concern to experienced ADR practitioners and users of ADR services. Morning plenary sessions will open the conference with excellent speakers including Bill Wilkerson on Mental Health, Conflict Management and Workplace Productivity; Babak Barin and John J. Buckley Jr. on Lessons from Around the Globe and David McCutcheon on the Strength of the National Rules and Designations.

Following the luncheon, participants can select from among four specialty streams with two fully dedicated to workplace ADR. Workplace topics will include: Restorative justice practices; mental health issues; stereotyping, conflict competence and mental maps; transformative interventions; compassion fatigue; non-violent communication; effective workplace investigations; change strategies; conflict diagnostics; integral theory; spiral dynamics and more!

Other streams will include sessions on: Improving efficiency in arbitration; cleaning up class actions with ADR; addressing power imbalances; ADR at Bombardier and Rio Tinto Alcan; contract opportunities in foreign jurisdictions; cultural issues in Family Mediation, IP & IT and more! Information covered in these dynamic presentations cannot be found in any book!
